yeah...interestingly enough I preferred the remix of 'Finest Illusion' as I wasn't overly keen on the chipmunks either, although it was a hugely popular track....I think over time I've mellowed, but I also thought the breakbeat was too scrapy sounding on the original. I love this too, as you mention the production and arrangement are crisp and well put together, but the breaks slightly scrape on this one too...don't think it's one of the better FP tunes overall, but it still sounds good!

I agree with you that Finest Illusion is one of the great oldskool tunes, and dont think Id ever 'Diss' any of Foul Plays releases as they are one of my favourite Artists! However in my opinion any 93 tune would sound better without chipmonk vocals, or in this case 'SOS's Band - 'The Finest' samples.

I love this tune! Clarity of production is amazing for the time. Can tell its been put together in a good studio!. Much prefer this side to the other. Finest Illusion is better without the chipmonk vocals anyhow. Thanks for the upload.

What a cracker !! Foul Play rarely disappoints. Just in case anyone was wonderin', the sample for this was taken the Steven Segal film ' Marked for Death '.
