Im really excited about joining the Air Force next year. I wanted to be an Aerial Gunner for a year, and then do AECP. My question(to anyone that was an aerial gunner) is how dangerous is the job? And how fun is the job? Thank you, great video

It happens occasionally. at :54 he is a clearing a jam. Mostly caused by ammunition link issues that get stuck at the "feeder/delinker".

There are two jobs in the AF that use the mini, both are on the HH-60 Pave Hawk. One is the FE and the other is Aerial Gunner.

It DOES NOT HAVE A SINGLE FIRE setting. This gun has two modes, one is low rate (2000 rounds per minute) and high rate (4000 RPM). There is a button that acts as the trigger. One is for the low and the other the high.

It is a 7.62 round and uses AC and DC power to operate all the guns systems.

@G3SM Can't that cause serious damage to the gun? I mean that's some high RPM and alot of weight spinnin' there.

Question, i know in the army you get to choose your job but in the air force do you get to choose? I REALLY REALLY want to be an aerial gunner but i dont really want to get stuck in a differant job. I have heard that you make a job wish list of 1-10. Is this ture? Please reply, it would help a lot.

you shouldnt be asking the question how dangerous , cos you need to be in the right frame of mind and not care bout that , on the ground we dont want to be thinking if your sat up there crapping it .

If I was in the millitary I would want to use the AA12 automatic shotgun. They have special ammo for it that makes it act like a fully automatic miniature grenade launcher. Those grenade shells have impressive range considering its a shotgun fireing them.

well thank you for serving our country, and litterly losing our balls for us. one of my friends is a pilot... he got shot in the ass twice. shit sucks, sorry man:(
