I have found that once the gasifire is in steady state I can add just about anything even soggy pellets. on the down side wet pellets give off less energy because so much energy is used to vaporize the water.
another thing I have found to be very helpful is a hygrometer so i can test the water contern of my feedstock prior to adding it in the hopper.
