Kathy Lutz interviewed on the 700 Club, talking about her true life experiences living in the most notorious haunted house in the world. Video cuts out midway through, just before Kathy goes into depth about her deeply held religious beliefs. Discuss this case at www.amityvillefaq.com/truthboard/

  • Kathy - The Cromarty's lived in that house for 10 years after you and stated that no supernatural activity occurred. Can you explain that?

  • @daytraderfbf Kathy died in 2004, so she can't answer you.

Is there a ghost rulebook which states a haunting must continue once it has started?

Who knows why hauntings happen or why they start and stop. Science can't even prove that ghosts exist, so I think we can stop pretending that we know how ghosts must behave.

  • @TheOpenMinded12460 They should do an investigation to make sure that the parents were not committing fraud, as assumed for years. I think this is a classic case of fraud.

  • @TheOpenminded12460 "A case of fraud" would be an easy explanation for such a hard-to-believe story. I admit this story is hard to believe, but I've looked into the hoax theories for the better part of a decade now, and I have yet to find anything that really sticks.

I have a hard time believing in ghosts, but from what I see it seems the Lutzes are being truthful.

  • @FriendshipTown Had the thought ever occur to you that maybe they were full of shit?

They made a forturne off this.

  • @daytraderfbf Making money is indeed a plausible motive for someone to make up such a story; but the statements and actions of the Lutzes over the years don't seem compatible with that.

Writing a book about how your house is haunted is by no means a sure-fire way of making lots of money. Yes, it happened in this case, but can you name another?

The Lutzes made a good chunk of change, but not a fortune. The publishing company, Jay Anson, the filmmakers and producers are the ones who got rich.

  • The real horror? Pat Robertson.

  • my house where i used to live in from 1985 to 1988 was "haunted" what ever that means. Everyone in our house got spooked real bad, including me, bed shaking and more.

I dont believe in Ghost, i believe God, (Jesus). and we have seen and felt what demons are. Were not religious fanatics, what happen in our house is real. we dont really share this story with many people.

  • @vomit49894 I wish. I wish I could go back to school.

  • @IrenaPrude Have a degree in demonology do we?

  • @daytraderfbf Sounds unexplainable.....NOT!

  • The next occupants of the house showed "Thats Incredible" (a show from a while ago - the episode is here on youtube) how the front door had never been blown out , and how old that door was, there were no signs of repair. Also, the police have no record of ever having gone to the house when the Lutz's lived there. As for the flies, they were there because the bodies of the Defeos were not taken out of the house for 48 hours, then the house was shut up and the heat was left on.

  • @daytraderfbf Several generations could live in a house and nothing happens, the demons stay dormant for some reason, then someone triggers it, and then it starts again.

  • @TheOpenminded12460 no one leaves all the possessions and no one leaves a home they just brought in just under a month over small hauntings. something drove them insane and they ran with their lives. that isnt the type of hoax anyone can just pull off. I can see if they packed everything and took their time leaving but they didnt. they got the hell outa there. you can replace things and food but not your life or your children's lives.

  • @daytraderfbf its the blood line and also, just because it hasnt happened in ten years doesnt mean it isnt there. right now its dorment, waiting for an open door. i think its the bloodline. an indian explained that to me. also, the new family may be christains and its possible that there ARE things happening and they dont want to admit it and get all the media going again. there are many reasons why some are bothered and others arent.

  • Endured the torment of publicity LMFAO!!!

  • @daytraderfbf TM-Transcendental Meditation...It Was Very Popular in The 70's....A Sad Footnote to The Jay Anson Story is....He Bragged to a Skeptic That he Was Going to Take His Earning From The Book & Movie, And Retire to a Tropical Island and Live a Life of Luxury....It Was Not Long After This Boast, That he Died of a Massive Heart Attack....So he Was Half Right...Someone Was Going to Live a Life of Luxury, it Just Wasn't Going to be Him.......

  • @CelticBadBoyPoet7 I knew Anson made money, but I also knew the Lutz's did too - not only on the book, but interviews, an episode of In search Of , etc. Do not know what TM is.
