@born4luv1 ...what gr6666 was saying are all accurate... after your wedding, you have to file for a spousal visa to be able to come and be with your husband in Canada... visit the immigration site or call the immigration office for complete details.

Processing can take between say 3 to 11 months. I live in Ontario. I was told 6 months is average when inquiring in Manila, however Immigration Canada I think said 8. For my Filipino wife it took 3 months once documents were submitted. Keep records of all communications, etc and when submitting all documents, make it as organized as humanly possible. You also need to get married in Philippines. Marriage itself has 10 day waiting period prior. You also need "Legal capacity" certificate.
