The film is recorded during a research campaign called the Greenland Flow Distortion Experiment. The scientists flew into the storm 40 meters above the sea surface gathering data. The wind is so strong that the wave crests are torn apart. More info about the project: http://lgmacweb.env.uea.ac.uk/e046/research/gfdex/index.htm and www.ipy-thorpex.no
