DeForest Kelley in his very first movie, "Time to Kill" (1945), a military training movie trying to bring around the idea that free time could be spent on education.

  • You're welcome :)

  • And there's GEORGE REEVES! He did a lot of military training films after he enlisted. However, he never got a big screen role like "Gone With the Wind" when he got back out.

  • Interesting backstory. What a pity for Reeves.

  • He's Soooo cute. Thanks for sharing

  • Glad you liked it :)

  • "Damnit, Superman! I'm a sailor, not a writer!"

  • @JamieBarnes

GADS! I just did a search but it doesn't come up. I recall going to see TYLS at a Chuck Schaden event & a skinny boyish Dr McCoy jumped out at me. I now suspect the film was actually Variety Girl 1947 which fits your chronology. Prob is i remember content from TYLS not VG. But you must be right all along!!

  • @LovingScrubbies Are you sure? I never heard of this!

  • @LovingScrubbies I stand corrected.

  • @cbak12sg

That's not Jackie Cooper, it's Barry Nelson.

  • @ACLTony

That's not Jackie Cooper. It's Barry Nelson who I agree looks a little like Cooper.

That's not Larry Hovis, it's Jimmy Lydon. He played Henry Aldrich in the movies and Clarence Day Jr in Life with Father, a movie with Elizabeth Taylor as a young hottie.

  • @syredronning A pity yeah. He was a very fine actor. A strong screen presence.

  • THX for the clip, but this is not De Kelley's first movie.

He was in Thank Your Lucky Stars in 1942 or 43, and that wasn't his first.

  • HOLY CRAP!

    STAR TREK MEETS SUPERMAN !

  • ...B'DONK-A-DONK! He looked gooooood here. It's also fun to see an actor's earliest works. <3
