These are my first shootings with Canon 5D MKII and my first edition on FCP, so I`m learning the this workflow.

I already learned that you always need a stabilization system for shooting with this kind of camera, at least use a tripod for telephoto shootings.

On these shootings 85% were made by hand held... so when I was edit it I noticed that the material was very jerky / shake, so always use a tripod or other stabilization system for better results.

Here I used FCP Smoothcam, but I noticed that it didn`t solved the problem entirely.

Equipament used:
Canon 5D MK II
2x SanDisk Extreme CF 16Gb 60MB/S UDMA
1x SanDisk Ultra CF 8 Gb 30 MB/s
Canon EF 24-70mm f2.8 L USM
Sigma 70-300mm f4-5.6
Manfrotto tripod

  • Beautiful video, I was thinking of getting a 5D, would you recommend a stabilization system, do you have any thoughts on the 550D in comparison to the 5D?
