This steam pumping engine, built in 1910 and doing 180hp, worked at Waddon pumping station, Croydon, Surrey. You can see its original working place in johnofbristol's youtube-video Last day at Waddon http://www.youtube.com/user/johnofbristol#p/u/14/e-TikFvwMBM . Now the engine is one of the highlights at Kew Bridge Steam Museum, London, see http://www.kbsm.org/exhibits/waddon . The Waddon engine itself runs nearly noiseless, the soundtrack results from the neighbour's (Hathorn Davey triple engine) valve gear.

  • i love it, i looked at the video of the last of the engine at work in the origonal pumping house and did you notice theres a cat at the begining of that, i think this engine attracts our feline friends hah
