Follow me on a journey where an internal Citrix farm is born, replacing the internal SOE Desktop. After adding a gateway in the DMZ and RSA authentication, external access is then made available. Finally redundancy is addressed thru a highly-available pair of NetScalers, 2 x TS Lic, 2 x Web Interface 2 x Domain Controllers (obviously). Last (and probably least!) a Merchandising server is added. At every developmental stage the architect must make decisions as to where his license and Web Interface servers must go. Would you make the same decisions? Can you see why the design was re-jigged? Did you have a big ah-ha moment when you saw how it could be applied to your own company's farm?
