Hi Im From Tucson I went to Phoenix just a few days ago and rode the light rail end to end.I loved the Ride its has great Acceleration and smooth Quiet Ride I think its a great Idea.
Yesterday I saw hundreds of people using the rail, getting on and off, as though it were really taking them from Tempe into Phoenix to shop at business, and from west Phoenix to the airport to work. But I could just tell that these damned liberals are really decoys, probably paid with taxpayer money, to make us imagine this is a functional part of the seventh largest city in the US. We should make 'em all buy hummers subsidized with tax credits, or vehicles with one gallon alt fuel tanks.
Agreed. But this isn't a bus. It's light rail. Far less stops, own right of way, no red lights. Look at the numbers. Time to get from Downtown Phoenix to Downtown Tempe: 23 minutes. That's an incredible improvement over to 40 or so it takes at 4 in the afternoon on the Loop 202 going inbound. To be fair, it's not meant to be rode from Queen Creek to Surprise. That's commuter rail, not light rail. Light rail is effective from about 2-10 miles from your position to destination.
You guy's need to give it a chance, in Denver it just get's better and better, and works great in the snow! Oh guess you don't need to worry about that, your lucky!

I like the way it glides smoothly as if it's floating on air and it's very quiet too.

no I do. Have you ever taken the bus when there is no traffic? You are better off riding a bike.
