You're definitely right about shmups! 3D shmups that are still horizontal/vertical STILL have the same gameplay as 20 years ago!

Awesome take as well on the biggest jump in tech question. Most people did agree that 3D is the biggest jump in tech, but Optical Media WAS a really big deal!

Yeah Opticla Media was a huge thing back in the day.. Sega tried hard with the Mega CD but failed, and Sony really made it take off with PS1 I think? Cheers for the questions ;o)

I think Rockstar would have to be fav games company ('controversial', as Alan Partridge might say).

As for the Megaman or Zelda question. What a miss-match. Zelda every time. Megaman games are just ultra-hard, frustrating platformers.
