What we have in the USA is call Fachism and if you can't handle that name, you can call it Corporatism. @akeakami2 thos projects were part of the new deal...helped my grandfather save enough money to open his scrap metal company which has become one of the biggest scrap metal yards in the nyc area....id say the new deal did just fine.

@Lockerdown3 maintaining them is another job created....you know it takes a full year to just paint the golden gate bridge and when they finish they have to start all over again....id say thats a never ending job....as for the new deal...the reason the other countries beat us out of the great depression is because they went to war which always stimulates an economy. the new deal did work..it helped keep food on my familys table..my grandfather was part of the robert moses projects on long island
