IL-2 Cliffs of Dover - Combat demo

Some assorted Fraps recordings of my early attempts at some combat. I'm still not used to the planes, so my shooting isn't very good. I have a very nice deflection hit with the Bf-110 in the beginning of the video (followed by the stupidest maneuver in air combat).

Then I have quite a good series of attacks on some stukas, but the .303 rounds of the Hurricane doesn't pack enough punch. I do score quite a few hits though :)

@biggles1111 Yes, I'd also like to see some 8th air force action: daylight bombing with hundreds of B-17s and B-24s being attacked by hundreds of German 109s, 190s and late war jets.

War in northern Africa could be interesting too, if high temperatures and sand problems were simulated :)

PS: I absolutely love the Fw-190, so having a WW2 sim without it is not good :)

@yngvefoshaug Yeah tbh I'm more interested in seeing where they'll go in the future, I'm hoping for a decent simulation of the airwarfare in Italy and Sicily. Time will tell I guess. One thing I've read that really annoys me though is that you can't really encounter big formations in Cliffs of Dover, during Battle of Britain there were formations of hundreds! That's what I'd like to see! :(

@biggles1111 I think so, yes. My main complaint about the game is the limited amount of planes and maps compared to Il-2 1946... But, it is a simulation of the battle of Britain, so It should be expected. :)

It's a very good sim, but for me it does not have the lasting appeal that earlier Il-2 sims had.

I'm thinking of buying the Zotac AMP! version of GTX580 to my computer, would you say it's any good? It looks like it can handle this beast of a game pretty well at least! :)
