Its fairly simple to say that most xbox 360s, elite or arcade, core or 60gb, overheat. This is mainly because of limited ventilation or dodgy connections. This is why many 360 owners want to know how to prevent the rrod (red ring of death), 3 red lights that come up on the consoles power button. These are just a few tips on how to stop your 360 from doing this.
Please feel free to comment if you have any more methods of stopping your 360 from overheating or braking, or even improving gameplay.

They are both good, vertical allows more heat flow but then is more prone to bumping and that can scratch the discs. and i think vertical looks better. horizontal allows less space for airflow, so you are more likely to get the RROD. however it is more stable so that it is much harder to knock it over so it is less prone to scratch the disks. it depends on your preference and what your home theater of desk allows you to set it up. i prefer vertical because it looks nicer and my setup lets me.
Okay..helpful but come on whoever DID make this, rather you or not, took time typing...couldn't of been any more fucking slow! I'm not watching this whole thing, fuck it.
What I do is put it Horizontal [--o] then I place a small object (2 DVDs) under it, so the bottom vents, the vents in the back, and the side vents are no blocked all all.
