Super Smash Bros Brawl Glitch - Cancelling Link's FS

I don't know how this happened, but somehow, Link's final smash was cancelled. You can see from the video that link hit with the FS and started going into the sequence but then somehow the bowser escaped. If anyone knows what happened (apart from this being a glitch), please tell me.

I think he perfect shielded it.

I don't think you can perfect shield a Final Smash. Besides, Link's FS animation started but then got cancelled.

Well I researched it, and it ends up that yes, he did perfect shield it. That's what happens when you perfect shield it.

There were numerous topics made on this glitch on different boards of different forums, but yes, this is what happens when you perfect shield link's final smash. You do take the damage but no animation/knockback.

Well Bowser definitely took less damage.

It looks like Luigi might of grabbed Bowser right when it happened, I'm not sure.

I don't think so. And even if that had happened, the FS should not have been canceled.

OMG THE SAME HAPPENED TO ME. i was online and i was TL and i got both ness and bowser in my triforce thing and we were in the air and then somehow it got cancled but i still killed ness.
