Examination by Dr Adrian Wilson of the anterior cruciate ligament under anaesthetic - Lachman test, anterior Drawer test and Pivot Shift test. In this patient the tests on the patient's right leg demonstrate laxity of the anterior cruciate ligament. The anterior drawer test has too much forward movement of the tibia in relation to the femur, then the Lachman test also demonstrates laxity and there is a positive pivot shift.

  • There is excessive laxity demonstrated and this suggests a torn cruciate ligament.
