Bobby did what many washed-up pop artists have done over the years....switch to country music! Four of his songs made the top 40 country chart in the early 80s. Here's one of them, which made #19 in 1981 (Curb 02117). Doesn't this sound like some cheesy 80s TV theme song? :-)

  • Hit #19 in Billboard, 9-5-81. God bless!

  • Great song. Does anyone remember a song Bobby had out in 1981, with lyrics " a big city misfit from a small Texas town sitting in a honkey tonk tavern. I used to work as a bag boy at a grocery store outside of Nashville in the early 80's and would see him from time to time, always dressed in western garb. At that time I thought that was the coolest thing! Thanks for a great memory.

  • Fantastic!!!!
