Evil Genius Solid State Tesla Coil Replication

Chapter 17 of the book "Electronic Gadgets for the Evil Genius" has a nice Solid State Tesla Coil circuit which I've replicated and show in this video.
I have not done anything with MOSFETs or FLYBACKs before so this was fun.
I'm attracted to the idea of a portable, small Tesla Coil which will be useful for all sorts of experiments in low power, high voltage. This circuit is low on parts, didn't cost much, and took one evening to put together on the breadboard. I goofed at first hooking up the MOSFETs backwards ... burning wires, etc. That was the evil part. :-)

I love that book! I built the ion ray gun, and as soon as I get the things I need for some experiments I want to run, I'll upload a video about it!

No. Its high voltage, yes, but very low current. Its current that kills you. Tesla did some very cool demonstrations running high voltage through his own body.
