The last time we saw the Mino Flip camera, this week we're taking a look at Creative's answer: The Creative Vado HD.
Don't forget to check out Part two, cos even though the Vado HD is supposed to be a really simple camera, watch as we discover extra features in the camera that might actually make it even more convenient for users to quickly take videos and distribute them with ease.
This is Gear65, Tech65.org's ongoing weekly podcast, and finally a preview on Youtube.

I haven't played with any other such cameras, unfortunately, so it would be unfair for me to tell you if it's better than the rest or if we recommend it or not.
Based on it alone, I think it's a great camera for its price, if only it had the ability to change its focus, and I would recommend it. But there may be better ones out there.

You guys got any idea what video processing software works with this camera? The basic software that it comes with is too basic.
Most of the other editing programs I tried just play a black screen but do play the audio. Interesting Windows Media Player will play the files without any problem.

I'm sorry, I can't help you with that question any more because the unit is no longer with us, and it's been more than 4 months since we had it.

Just to clarify, the Vado HD only captures at 30fps. And it only comes in 8GB. The 2GB is the Creative Vado (a previous gen model) which captures in VGA quality :)
