That gun was firing way faster than any factory full-auto AK should have been. I'll bet you they removed or wired back the disconnecter, causing the gun to slam fire. The primer on the cartridge was probably struck before it was fully in battery.

if I was that cameraman I would have delivered a swift uppercut to the shooter for sweeping me with a weapon that just malfunctioned. @FuckinFirstRecon Absolutely can not happen, better learn more about how guns work before posting stupid messages here .

First the round if fired a bullet up in the barrel would not eject the spent case because the gun needs pressure to the gas piston to force the bolt to first unlock for rearward travel, dud loads never have pressure to have the force to blow the piston back so any second round would not even be stripped from the magazine due to the bolt would not travel all the way back .
