Batman and Dracula, both creatures of the night, both associated with bats, capes, and both play to win. When Dracula turns his sights on Batman's City just as another dark figure, one Christopher Nolan is coming to Gotham to film portions of a new movie called The Dark Knight, well, in the words of that movie's Joker: People will die.
The suspense novel by Wanders Nowhere is set in the Gotham of Chris Dee's Cat-Tales, where Batman is the creation of Bruce Wayne, Catwoman is the creation of Selina Kyle, as always, but the conflict between those invented identities and the way those personas come to be perceived by the public is very real indeed. It is a startling world for Vlad Tepes, Prince of Wallachia, to confront what the world has made of Dracula... not that the revelation will lower the body count.
