  • do you still leave the scraper itself in gear while dozer is pushing, I would imagine the dozer is doing most of the work.

  • @SuperJohndeere4020 The scraper is in gear when it is pushed.

  • why does the D7 have 2 push the DW15?

  • @joecool248 Think of the scraper bowl as a giant brake. When it cuts in the ground the tractor will either spin a tire or die because it can't pull the material in unless it skims the top. The DW15 will do its part pulling and the D7 will push establishing a push/pull relationship the way caterpillar designed it.
