I had an important PP presentation to make and spent hours trying to drop a video into it. This one-minute tutorial got me over the hump not once, but twice. I set it aside for a week, then had to relearn it a second time. One of the best 0:57 seconds I've ever spent on the internet.

Just wanted to say thank you so much for this video! It was MOST helpful!

What if I can't go into "properties"? My media player doesn't move like what you did in around 27 seconds... and I can't click 'properties'.

curious tho -- only the author of the file w/ this video on their hard drive will be able to play the video once embedded right? I've tried to send a ppt I've created to my colleague and they can't play the vids I've added.
gigimc, You are mostly correct. The PPT will be looking for your video on your hard drive or flash drive or wherever you had it when you made the presentation. To keep the presentation along with the movie to send to others, Save the PowerPoint as a PowerPoint Show. I hope this helps.

This only works with a connection to the internet. But if you have a videofile that is saved to your computers hard drive you can just copy and paste it into Powerpoint. You don't need to do anything fancy.
