  • Lost! on a painted sky. Where the clouds are hung, for the poets eye. You may find him. If you may find him. There! on a distant shore. By the wings of dreams through an open door. You may know him. If you may. BE! There's a page that aches for a word which speaks on a theme that is timeless. While the sun God will make for your day. Sing! there's a song in search of a voice that is silent. And the one God will make for your way.
  • Your welcome! Yes-this piece of music is so inspiring. It tells one that impossible goals are able to be acheived if you truly believe in yourself-anything is possible...

  • wow every comment here has truly made me feel great. for many years I have listened to this album,cd,mp3 and now thru you tube.I can't seem to get bored with it like many other songs. I keep coming back to it .And I think I shall listen to it until my death and can only hope it will be playing in my afterlife. Now I know that I am not a nut case or alone anymore with the feelings and love I have for this Music Thanks all of You....

  • @dintn2 very succinctly and more, beautifully put. Thank you.

  • In the early 1970s, as a young man, I spent three years undergoing training to be a fighter pilot in the Royal Air Force. I can't ever explain to anyone how inspiring this film and the soundtrack music was to me then.

You can ..................... because you think you can..................................

  • This film was director Hall Bartlett's only masterpiece. Before it he made entertaining if imperfect studio pictures like "Zero Hour!" and "The Caretakers", and after it he was reduced to making forgotten critical/commercial misfires like "The Children of Sanchez". The great thing about "Jonathan Livingston Seagull" is that he both wrote it and directed it, and believed enough in Richard Bach's book and Neil Diamond's music to weave it all into a very personal film. RIP Hall Bartlett.

  • Early seventies brought about a serious conversation about Richar Bach's book. Scholars, pastors, intellectuals, writers and more were all labeling this book with their descriptions and titles. It was monumental at that time! I believe it is to everyone something different. I suggest your children read it. Yes, maybe it's about a dreamer, but isn't that what's inside us all. When I first read it, I asked what does it mean? A friend told me, when the student is ready the teacher will appear.

  • @MrChristopherPriest As "Rocky" was not about boxing, neither is this about flying, but of life, love and yourself!

  • such a beautiful song...

every word of it is true

  • this has spoken to me for 30 years, myanthem <3 thankyou
