Classic Game Room HD - BATTLEZONE for Atari 2600 review

Classic Game Room was the FIRST classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999. Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of BATTLEZONE for the Atari 2600. Battlezone is a game of tank warfare on the open plains surrounded by beautiful mountains in a foreign country. CGRHD actually thinks this is one of the first 1st person shooters ever made, it has the look and feel of a first person shooter with a tank! Kind of like the great grandpa to Bioshock, Halo 3 and Resistance Fall of Man... so that would make it the grandpa to Doom and Castle Wolfenstein. This old school arcade smash hit retro classic video game for the Atari 2600 is a terriffic game and easy to collect for your VCS wood grained collection. Are you driving a Sherman, a Panzer or the GI Joe tank... it doesn't say. But this game is just cool. Maybe this influenced strategy warfare games??

@shit6327 Things like graphics shouldn't be judged according to what is available right now, but should rather be judged according to the given hardware. This game has really amazing graphics, given the capabilities of the hardware.

Battlezone 2 Combat Commander (1999) was absolutely amazing, and still has a small modding community who comes up with different game types and vehicles and plays online. It was a RTS/FPS game that was actually very user friendly with modding.
