This is just a video I made to reflect on some of what religion does to the world. Any good that you can derive from religion can easily be replaced from therapy or depending on the circumstances other methods. The only benefit that comes from religion is the selfish and self centered hope that you will be rewarded for the atrocities, protesting against others rights, killing of children and others, etc, and these selfish beliefs cannot be proven, nor have they been proven, they just keep existing without any merit at all, all they can provide is numerous story books which are thousands of years old... and have absolutely no relevance... Believers just believe because they are told to....

  • @justanoldman1 No doubt about that. I, for one, consider my faith to be the culmination of the facts acknowledged by every religion that has gone before; and, from what I've seen of other religions that came later, there are few that do not derive - in some sense, - from Christianity. Besides that, all these different gods were based on observation, and the only thing Christianity disputes is whether or not they're worthy of the title of "god" or "goddess".

  • @dameon692002 It is still a fact that there were thousands of different gods and religions since the begining of time and the current ones are only a couple of thousand years old.

  • @justanoldman1 Let's also consider all the archaeological and historical evidence for Biblical stories (specifically), and medical information that, as recently as the last two centuries, was unheard of... and defied the popular medical wisdom of the civilizations around the Hebrew people during their time.

  • @justanoldman1 For yet another problem with your story, it presupposes that the writers of every religious tome were either absolute idiots, or the worst kinds of con-artists; and that the people are either swindlers, or fools, en masse. Of course, unless there is substantial prejudice, such a claim is absurd.

  • @justanoldman1 Furthermore, it leaves a lot to be desired, when one considers that there have been several scientists, mathematicians, and logicians who have supported the faith in a deitic figure (such as Isaac Newton, Galileo, and - more recently, - Robert Jastrow).

  • @justanoldman1 That's definitely one hypothesis. Of course, it leaves a lot to be desired, when one considers the many accounts of deitic figures actually visiting primitive civilizations. It also leaves a lot to be desired, when one considers the mathematical - and, in some cases, even scientific, - advancements of such civilizations as ancient Egypt and China.

  • @dameon692002 no I have the origin of all gods and religions. the first people on earth saw death and were afraid, they created a god and a religion and of course an afterlife to make everyone happy. There were thousands of different gods and relgions since the begining of man's time on earth. The curent batch are only a couple of thousand years old. They to will fall the way of the ones before. Science and common sense along with simple logic will take over. God is dead.

  • @justanoldman1 Another cop-out. I should have guessed. Even you are not convinced that your alleged "truth" is what you think it is. It's sad that this is all you have left.

  • @dameon692002 Your mind is so closed to the truth that going on is pointless.

  • @justanoldman1 In the last 100 years, science still has no answer to the origin of life, or the universe, other than speculation. In a few years, it could also be nearly impossible to live over 50 years; unless you have psychic powers, you can't be as absolutely sure as your dogmatic faith requires you to be.

And what makes you think third-grade name-calling is making your point any better than your pseudo-intellectual tripe? You truly are pitiful. When you grow up, cognitively, THEN reply.

  • @justanoldman1 So, you have no evidence, and you're using the old cop-out: "you wouldn't listen, anyway"? Seems more like your kind of personality...

You admit that it takes "science", or rather scientists, to make life from "nothing" (which is impossible, since the only space in the universe that might potentially be such a vacuum is thousands of light-years away, above our Northern hemisphere). Your "gods" would take away free will, whereas my God will let us choose.

  • @dameon692002 It would not matter how many facts I brought up, your mind is closed.

Science can now even make life from nothing, that must make us gods. We can alter the genetics of man and improve on the faults that we all have. Even your god can't do that.

In the last 100 years science has more than doubled the life expentancy of man and in a few years it may be possible to live to over 200 years. As we unlock more secrets of life we will be able to do even more. OK pussyface.

  • @justanoldman1 I suppose that, by "butcase", you meant "nutcase".

See, what I like about the guy that posts these videos is, when it comes right down to it, he's smart enough to know that he might not know it all... that's also why I pity people like you. "It's the way I say it is, because I say so, and that's the end of the matter"? Can't you come up with a logical argument? "It's been proven, because I say so"? Really intelligent post. Leave the battle to those who are armed, n00b.

  • @dameon692002 You are a butcase, evolution is a fact and only you religious nutbars keep pretending it is not.

We have fossils records to prove the changes in creatures ove time and all you have is a man written book of bullshit.

  • How many times have Darwinists tried to make up conclusive proof of evolution, to have it blow up in their faces when scrutinized by actual science? Evolution is best summed up as having as much merit as P.T. Barnum's Mermaid (a stuffed upper-half of a monkey, put on the stuffed lower-half of a large fish, to "prove" evolution). It's just as false, and baseless. Learn what's fact by scientific standards, rather than deluding yourself and leading others into the same dangerous delusions.

  • Oh, proven by the fact that 1/3 of all the dinosaur fossils found, to date, have recently been discovered to be not transitional fossils, but the direct children of dinosaurs that already existed (like the so-called evolution of the Tyrannosaurus into the Nanotyrannosaurus... which has been proven to be the offspring of T-Rex)? Or how about the fact that Ida has been disproven as a so-called "transitional fossil" that proved evolution conclusively, to a mere fossil of a lemur.

    You said:

"It took 7 days to make the Heavens and Earth not Eons."

Have you actually read your bible?

According to the false story of creation in Genesis, it was SIX days but, according to the proven Theory of Evolution, there was no Adam and Eve, so there was no original sin.

extrapolate that and you will see that there was no need of jesus and christianity crumbles into dust.

Time to grow up and accept the grim reality of real life, free from fantasy and delusion.

  • It is futile debating creationists. We can only hope to provide a good education for our children, and raise them to think for themselves. Then when they are old enough, they will have the tools to see through the bullshit.

  • The roman people were violent, extremely violent and *** the time of the Roman people

  • Uhm, first of all that was not some guy, that was Richard Dawkins. Second of all, that answers ABSOLUTELY nothing, if God (who doesn't exist, speaking in context) wanted to forgive our sins, he would have just anyway, how the time of the Roman people, which is whom wrote the bible, were known to be violent and considered violence entertainment, I mean brutal violence... That explains absolutely nothing, and is just an ultimate failure.

  • Look whose talking and how we both feel on each others opinion. And Misintpretations they are. On one of your other videos some guy asked why God sent Jesus to Earth its simple.

John 3:16 For God so Loved the World He gave his one and only son that whoever believes in him shall not peris but have everlasting life.

  • There is interpretations. How dare you justify those things, as misinterpretation. You are being ignorant, it is clear to me what it says.

  • People do not misinterpeate anything, I mean Christians as a whole cannot even decide what they believe. Saying that, there is absolutely no way you can interpret "Kill homosexuals", so don't you dare feed me that crap. Nor can you interpret the countless genocides made against people, nor can you interpret the sadomasochistic doctrine of atonement, nor can you interpret that it is a sin for woman to have their periods, according to the bible, etc. Don't feed me that, crap.
