I've been telling people all these years that I saw MLK on the Tonight Show with Harry B, but I've never before seen confirmation that it happened. I'm pretty sure that it was on MLK's last birthday, Jan. 15, 1968, though it is not mentioned in this clip.

I wonder what Dr. King read or saw that brought him to be at peace with death. I suppose the "Mountain Top" speech gives us a clue into that. Thanks for sharing, PBS.
