I'm in love with Caplin :)

You certainly should not treat an animal like a human being. You need to treat it according to what kind of animal it is. But yes, it requires attention and dedication. Some animals more than others.

After this video he made a huge dump in the pool.

hey everyone this is carol and right after this video was filmed, Caplin unfortunately chewed off and ate three of my fingers on my left hand. i am still alive though. bye.
I am 12 years old and I am trying to convince my parents into getting a capybara as our next pet and I have a question are they very affectionate animals? I just think that they are so beautiful and amazing

@Smagdaggot Please see my blog to get a better idea of what a pet capybara is like. However I can tell you right now that they are very affectionate, very loving, animals. On the other hand, they have a temper and they carry a grudge forever.

i was wondering do they interact well with dogs and like regular rats please respond

@melbertimis I know of a couple of capybaras who have dog co-pets and they get along great. Caplin sees dogs when we go around town and he is fine with them although some dogs bark at him and occasionally that will scare him.
He does not act at all like a rat. Capybaras are herbivores whereas pet rats are omnivores and that makes a big difference in their personalities. Plus rats have useful hands and capys don't. He is very affectionate though.

hehe dumb territorial animal. he doesn't hate her. just posing a bit. a bit of petting and a popsickle and she's probably welcome in the famiy :)
she was a stranger?

She was staying with us for a few days. Caplin was fine the first 1.5 days and then decided he didn't like her. Once he makes that judgment, it takes a lot to get him over it.
