  • "His Truth is Marching On", or "Glory Glory Hallelujah" was a song made up and sung by supporters of the Union Army during the American Civil War.

  • When I learned to sing the Glory part, I did not know. That is also only thing I can sing with a guy from Lyinchburg.

If the North sang this song to justify their deeds against the South, how did Christians from the South like it if they supported the South?

It was something like the Crusade exposition. I do not believe Christians should use violence to force anyone.

I was aware the origin of this song, I made the first comment to address that the USA is not a Christian nation.

  • I don't know how Confederate Christians reacted.

  • Is the KKK a representative of the South? Hehe..I cannot tell the difference between the Union and Confederate. In Chinese, they are the same thing. To me, both sides were wrong from a Christian point of view. How could the members of the same Body fight each other?

  • By the way, the USA has never been a nation of Almighty God. It has been a christian nation of the Devil from the begining.

  • @jingvt That hardly seems fair. I'm pretty sure almost every country has had their own civil wars.

  • I'm not a Christian but no nation on earth could ever be a nation of God as humans have already, by definition, fallen short of Him. So your criticism seems misplaced.

Out of curiosity are you actually Manchurian or just Chinese born in Manchuria?

  • From a Christian point of view, yes, they were wrong.

  • The same body? They were both capitalists, true, but one was more liberal than the other.
