What I like about them is: out of the 3 remaining Modes, the biggest electronic band of all times, only can call himself a musician - who plays synths with one hand - just another paradox:-) I am sorry,they didn't appreciate Alan as much as he'd respected.His input's proven to be the missing ingredient.The production,songs' atmosphere-I don't think millions would have gotten hooked if it wasn't for THAT SOUND. And why Violator is considered to be their masterpiece? Songs, Music are no worse

I've read of scientific studies about the unique status this band has with their fans, the cult of Depeche Mode vs. religions. Best band in the world? In many countries - Germany, Poland, Eastern Europe, areas of the US of course, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Italy, France, Spain. Funny is: U2 work to be the biggest, DM with their attitude probably don't have an idea WHY THEM? Exception from the rule: their homeland: "Oh yeah, the wimps that did Just Can't Get Enough..they're still around?"
