@datskas Really? Glen has said, on many occassions, that he was possessed by a demon. That doesnt sound metaphorical to me. To CHOOSE not to acknowledge anything is, by definition, to deny it. Regardless of how you decide to take it, hiding behind your opponents idea of what your (anti-) religion is just to piss them off, profit and promote your otherwise unexceptional music is playing right into their hands and it's really quite sad. @ThatDonutMoney Deicide is one of the rare bands to really exaggerate this whole satanic bullshit, unwittingly turning it into a joke. Most Death Metal bands with anticlerical lyrics have strong and valid opinions, unlike Kool Benton and the Gang. It's really about the music anyway and less about the image that they give themselves. And I have to say, albums like Legion and Once Upon the Cross are truly great, musically speaking.

@MclMum Honestly? I was deep in the hardcore scene when Deicide broke and it really bummed me out. It was bands like then that chased me away by appealing the lowest common denomenator of DM fans. Obviously, any band that has that effect on a person doesn't disappear from memeory all that easily. I came partly out of contempt and partly out of curiosity. Were they as bad as i remember? Was Glan that much of an gimmicky tool? Now I know without question, the answer is definitely YES. Good enough?
