The Best Gerald McClellan Tribute

Gerald McClellan would never be the same after this fight. He had a blood clot in his head when he was fighting Nigel Benn in the middle of the fight. The symptoms was there when he was blink his eyes repeatedly! He was forced to take knee and quit because of the cerebral complications he was faced with. A few minutes after he made it back to his corner he eventually passed out! After he was take to the hospital he had emergency surgery to remove the blood clot, which left him blind in both eyes and 80 percent of his hearing gone! He also loss the ability to walk but recently gained it back. He is token care off by his two sisters who have to work extra jobs and receive donations! All of the money he gain from his fights was all used to take care of McClellan by his two sisters. He was one of the most hardest middleweight punchers of all time! If he didn't have that problem during that faithful night he would have beat Nigel Benn nearly effortlessly, but not to say Benn doesn't have heart! McClellan was just too much for Benn! I still place Gerald McClellan as one of the all time greats regardless of what anyone says because to me he will always be remembered and i will do anything i can to help once i'm where i need to be!

benn was a hard hitter too ,no one knows if benn caused it or assisted it ,but as sad as the ending was ,you have to give benn credit for the way he came back they were both such hard hitters and it reaqlly could have gone either way on the night .benn was very proud and didnt have the normal english mentallity of competing is enough,he wanted it so bad cos he was insulted with the money offer to fight toney ,so they got gman over just to beat him up ,and that gave benn that bit extra resolve

Thats such bullshit man no one deserves what he got, gerald will always be one of my favourite fighters, he didnt lose to benn in my eyes. Mclellan was one of the biggest punchers i ever saw, he was the tommy hearns of his era god bless him
