Classic Apple II RPG game by EA. Has a great intro animated sequence with the Skara Brae poem sung by the minstrel. A must for fans!

Unfortunately, I was old enough to have played this game and to have beaten it when it first came out, which makes me an old man today...

That would be true had the systems not been in direct competition of each other. Its actually more like comparing a PS2 to and Xbox. Yes, there was quite a difference in release year and technology but since the Apple II was a strong leader in the personal computer industry it was still forced to stack up against system like the Commodore 64. Don't write about me as if I were an idiot, it's not my fault apple didn't release anything new for years.

of course as the 64 had custom chips and was 5 years younger than the apple ii, i hate these moronic comparisions, it is like comparing the newest xbox 360/ps 3 game with xbox/ps 2

Same here! ;-) Editing allowed you to get enough gold to buy just about anything. Didn't have to use the "pool good" trick either! Lots of fun!
