Women across the world are affected by the practice which is widely recognized as a violation of human rights. Although it has been outlawed in many of the African countries where it is common practice, it is still done within the families.
But today it is possible with a surgical operation to restore these women's dignity and their right to enjoy pleasure. A procedure has been developed that brings the root of the clitoris back to the surface so that the feeling is restored.

in order to stop female circumcision we must stop male circumcision. failing to do so is sexist and hypocritical. female and male circumcision are the same and both are evil. both make lex less pleasurable. both are done without consent. i consider both equal to rape.

@markmywords53 I think it's wrong to use euphemisms and mask the fact that FGM is what it is: mutilation. According to the Oxford American Dictionaries, mutilation is described as, "inflicting a violent and disfiguring injury on." "Risk the woman picking up bad habits"? Like what, masturbating? Why would you think it would "be better to cut [the clitoris out] and destroy it"? The clitoris is the only organ that is made purely for pleasure, and to deny anyone that would be incredibly immoral.

NO, the GLANS CAN NOT be "repaired" simply by pulling whatever 'root' (clitoral crura/corpora cavernosa) is left after the mutilation has been done and sewing them together. Obviously a male came up with this stuuupad idea: probably a male surgeon that stands to profit from these 'restorations'. I also presume that this 'hospital' will take SEVERAL more years to build. Why not do the 'reversals' NOW ?

I think it's wrong to describe female circumcision as 'mutilation'. It risks offending women and girls who have undergone the procedure: how would you like it if I described your genitals as 'mutilated'?

As for reversing the procedure, why would anyone want to do so? Surely if the root of the clitoris has accidentally been left in situ it would be better to cut it out and destroy it than to expose it and risk the woman picking up bad habits.

When "Clitoraid" fights just as hard to restore the mutilated genitals of men, THEN you'll get my donation. Millions of men have been sexually mutilated in the US. Most are not even aware of the damage, nor do they even want to acknowledge it for fear of being sexually minimized. This is NOT just a "woman's issue".

Foregen is in progress with a technique to restore everything. However, it still hasn't been done yet, and even when it is, it will be expen$ive because it uses genetic tissue growth.

But, foreskin restoration as it is now, will restore the coverage and appearance, improve sensitivity by growing new skin from what you are left with by "stretching" to cause the new growth. The frenulum and ridged band are gone forever. Look up "foreskin restoration"

interesting. Are there any non-surgical methods for women who were genitally mutilated? I do know that there are for men who were genitally mutilated. Foreskin restoration is a large and growing practice. Most men who choose restoration do so non-surgically, is this even possible for the women?
