Buell XB9 XB12 gutted out muffler

stock XB12 muffler, gutted out but left the interactive valve in. sound level is just as loud as my jardine. a little louder on idle only. i spent a total of 15 bucks modifying this pipe. worth every penny and it looks better than the gay looking jardine pipe.

i'm about to hack mine up, how big did you go on the exaust tip 2 1/4.........2 1/2 or bigger???

i didnt measure, i reused the stock tip. i traced the inlet of the tip and just form cut it to sized then welded the tip in the axact same spot.

Nice Bike Nice Note, Thinking about getting once my self, and to the peps below AMA was a joke. I agree, but these bikes are not meant to compete against the "Straight Line Hero's" R1 geez they can't even beat an R6, there all about fun and noize lol

eric buell is still building the motor cycle now it is 1190 rr 187 hp rw I think but I belive it is track only, but I heard he is going to do a few street models. Just a note these are faster than the bikes that one the AMA daytona sieres the first year they came out. just sayin.

nice vid--

i made my own from a 90 degree elbow and a streetrod muffler.

it is so simple i had to try it,and it is way better than the jardine was. i did not like the idea of the stock can just have exhaust dumped into a big tube with a pipe welded in for the exit.mine is directed all the way and sounds good and has great torque.

How hard was that to gut out? And I hope to God someone starts to build Buell again maybe when the econ picks up. -sigh- one can wish i guess. nice sounds good
