The Arizona Wildcats, led by All-American forward Sean Elliott, opened the 1989 NCAA tournament with a resounding 94-60 win over the Robert Morris Colonials. Lute Olson's team finished that season 29-4 after losing to UNLV in the Sweet 16. Elliott scored 27 points and had seven rebounds in this game against Robert Morris.

  • just think, we would've been that much better if Brian Williams were eligible to play (redshirt soph)

  • Thanks for the upload!!! Man, I wish I'd recorded every game back in '88 and '89. I got every game since on DVD, but those first two years are missed. Would you be able to upload more from those two seasons? I'd really appreciate it sir!

Wow, the Elliott and Cook interview blows me away! SO professional sounding. I like how they both smiled wide when asked about Wookie. lol

And I miss the way Lute's teams used to come out and start almost EVERY game with some version of alley-oop. Go CATS!
