Plot:
Jason likes Lana but he is jealous of Clark and sometimes gets a little violent.
He does everything to stay with her.
On the other hand, Lana wants to break free but he won't let her,so there's only a way to stop the fear: put a end to him.

His ability to turn himself into the character he is playing and to make people believe it just proves he's an amazing actor.
