I think raw foodists are very critical of food because like you said portion size, we eat tons of food - buckets of fruit and buckets of greens. Also we are very sensitive to flavors and tastes so we taste everything and basically know everything in dishes. I have never been to a raw food restaurant personally but I expect to not be so impressed.
