Sorry man but you're are wrong.

Even in LiveView you can use Auto-Focus so you don't have to switch the lens to manual focusing.

If you don't know how to do it, simply go to Custom Functions, find auto-focus in live-view, turn it ot, and when you will have live-view mode on, simply press and hold "Af-On" button.

If you know - why you didn't notice it on this video ?!

you are right. the zoomed image is nothing else then a croped portion of the resulting image.

so does it mean tat... these zoom features (5x and 10x) are helpful only for selecting the best manual focus point ???

so i assume, the zoomed pictures can be shot only with the help of zoom lenses.... n not with d help of this zoom feature in live view mode... am i right ?

bwn.. when i zoom it .. i have 2 options 1. 5X and 2. 10X but in both modes.. i am not able to take pictures! if i shoot in my desired zoom level... it automatically comes back to normal zoom level and takes the picture in zoom out mode!!! so how can we take pictures in zoom in mode ? (5X or 10X)

Those icons dont come on under auto mode that includes all the picture icons (portrait, flower, mountain, guy running, ect..) You have to be in the creative zone P through C3. Which I know sux!
