At last! A video of myself playing. I had taken a video of Jaime Leigh Joroff, and told her I was going to post it on You Tube, and she thought I should have one up too, so after the harp competition at the Southern Maryland Celtic Festival, to avoid the chaos we went into the kitchen , where, amidst the harp cases and clutter, she filmed me playing a song by Murdo MacFarlane called Cànan nan Gàidheal; The Language of the Gaels, a beautiful song about the demise of the Gaelic language in Scotland and its survival in the Hebrides. This was taught to me by Sharon Knowles and it is her arrangement. (Video by Jaime Joroff)

  • "It is amazing to me," said Bingley, "how young ladies can have patience to be so very accomplished as they all are."

  • @Poodlepups ha! I'm afraid I do not know half a dozen such ladies!

  • Wonderful! I love this song. You have such a beautiful harp, too. What make is it?

  • It is a hand made gut strung harp by John Yule, a Scottish harp builder, now living in Colorado.

  • That's another nice piece and you do it well! Well, it will be hard for you to carry your harp around, so when I'm in the neighborhood I want to listen to you playing live...

  • well, I hope you'll be in the neighborhood soon! :)
