Science alone is not enough to understand reality, which can be reached only through a complete harmony of intelligence and faith, science and revelation, "the two lights that guide the journey of the Magi," who were both "wise" and yet open to the mystery of God. With these words during the Angelus, Benedict XVI reaffirmed the need for a science that is not "self-sufficient", but open "to further revelations and the call of the divine.
