Third video in the series of Skyrim modding tutorials! This one covers getting a skinned mesh into Skyrim for the first time. The helmet was chosen as it has the fewest dependencies and is the simplest base candidate for a skinned model to get into the game. The next video will cover how to deal with the remain portions of armor and their associated weight morphs. The programs needed for this are the same as the weapon tutorial.

Thanks for watching!

  • is this all self taught knowledge or is the majority learned through classes/college

  • @x17TheManagement17x Self taught as a start, but I've been a professional artist for almost 10 years now. I can't pretend that I'm really self taught at this point. ;)

  • @sandersam1290 Because you're still afraid to say "fuck" on the internet.

  • @ninvusoogoar My comment below was supposed to be a reply to you, sorry that it didn't link you correctly.

  • This tutorial covers how to make armor for Skyrim, using only free programs/tools: wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Creating_an_armour_for_Skyrim._Part_1

At the start of it there's a list (with links) of the tools needed.

Also, make sure you install Blender as described here: wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Installation_of_Blender using the version included in the download that installation tutorial points to (the newer versions of Blender don't support the scripts required).

    Good luck!
