I have been able to index any/all of my online communications using a utility called Splunk for some time now (year+). I run several OSes from the cloud (not Chromium but I do have that virtualized on my desktop) and can access them at any time as long as I have an internet connection. So while you may find yourself holding your breath a little while longer until a consumer ver is available, the geeks have had this ability for a spell. Try not to be so negative :) It's coming.

Can't wait to see where this is in 1-2 years when the OS is in the cloud (chromium) and the information from our friends is indexable. We're truly rocketing toward a world where information is free and shareable (as information tends to be). Just as John Hodgman says, information is not property but a disease.
