Thank you so much for the link to this video. My carrots in the square foot garden look dreadful. I planted them back in April, and they are still not doing much, and it's already middle of July! Maybe I need to just pull them out, enrich the soil with some compost and start over for the fall season, because they shouldn't take that long, should they??? Thanks again for the help!

I bought some of these carrot seeds today because of your video. I missed the spring planting, but will plant again about July 21st. They look good!!!! and the comment about red chantennay corrots, I gotta find those.

@AmyLuvnTX Hi! I planted them 12 -16 per square foot (about 3 inches apart). It is VERY hard to plant them because the seeds are so tiny! But it is worth the effort in the beginning so I do not disturb them once germinated. If 2 or 3 germinate where only one should be, I snip the extras with a pair of kid scissors. So, yes, I do thin them.
what great looking carrots!!! How do you cook your swiss chard???

@easternstar12 Thanks! I tear the swiss chard and put it into salads. Or, I saute (lightly!) it in olive oil, red pepper flakes, sea salt, shallots and fresh garlic. I prefer the leaves young and fresh best. Somethimes they get bitter when cooked. Thanks for watching!
