IDIOTS! RUNNING makes you a better runner

Nah I agree with KaseyAkira.
Doing this doesn't make your running more efficient. And you're not running on some certain blocks so you don't need coordination. Only correct thing is it makes your ankles stronger, but there are even better ways to strengthen the ankles anyway, so unless you are a sprinter this video is useless, as you won't exactly be sprinting in a triathlon.

one more thing. I am not a kinesiologist and specialist in biomechanics, with a degree in fitness science and sports medicine. Just a national athletic coach and a long distance runner/triathlete for more than 20 years. I repeat that these are GOOD VIDEOS WHICH SHOW YOU EXECERCISES TO IMPROVE YOUR RUNNING EFFICIENCY. they should be made a couple of times a week after your running routine. There are plenty of sites which show you a whole list of these excercises.
Regards from Spain.

well, let me tell you that if you are really coaching runners and you give them advices such us:"THEN WHY THE F** would you spend time learning coordination for running?"or any of the comments you are posting on these good videos which REALLY help you build strength and coordination to improve your running motion, I have to say that I feel sorry for your pupils. They are wasting their money. sorry to be so straight but I do not want people watching these videos to be confussed by your comments.

to KaseyAkira:
Article from runner´s world(literal translation)
We have all seen this runner in the park doing funny little jumps, walking as a pinguin and criss-crossing his feet. The worst is that we have laughted at him.Big mistake due to our ignorance(I think they are talking about you now,KaseyAkira). By doing this excersises we would get stronger ankles, much more articular movility and a more efficient running motion.Running technique is the diffence between a good and an average runner

I'm a kinesiologist and specialist in biomechanics, with a degree in fitness science and sports medicine, and have trained people from all over the world, including runners. You DO need to gain a certain level of skill in sprinting or mid distance running, but long distance, marathon running is not very skill-heavy. Further, the skills you need to build are not supplied by the training shown in this video. Its ridiculous.

Law of SAID dictates that neuromuscular coordination is extremely specific in nature. A gymnast is very highly coordinated, but will not have the ability of a skateboarder, who in turn will not have the ability of a surfer, who in turn will not have the ability of a tight rope walker.
If you want to improve your "skill" and "coordination" at something, your training must mimic, as closely as possible, the activity you plan to do.
