Hi I have two audio planet sub 200 w rms dual 4 ohm dtr I am interested in 2200.1 but I have the car I can turn a power supply as serious?
-
@LivinLoudNigga It actually will not,SoundStream amplifiers are not CEA-2006 compliant thus the power ratings are overrated. They are based off a 14.4V battery when most vehicles have a 12V battery. This will cause a significant drop in actual power being provided. If you want an amplifier that is going to give you the stated power 100% of the time try going with CEA compliant amps or high-end amps like JL Audio, Diamond Audio, or DLS. These companies are not CEA but give correct power ratings.
i have the 1700.1 i know that it 2 n 1ohm stable but i want to no can it run on 4ohm will it give me mor sq n will it mess up my amp n sub?

@acer1234acer Yes, they do put out at 4 ohms but at less power. Keep in mind that the fewer the ohms the more power. It really depends if your subwoofers will match the 4 ohm power handling of the amplifier.

i have 2 soundstream dtr 1.1700 i want to know would it be ok to put 1 amp on each set of coil on the hcca 12.2 sub?
acer1234acer 6 months ago
@acer1234acer Yes you technically could do this but I would not recommend this. One HCCA requires 2000W or at least 1500W RMS to run properly. The subwoofer says it will do 1700 at 1 ohm but since the amplifier is highly overrated and not CEA compliant I highly doubt that it will give you that much. It will probably give you 1000W RMS if you are lucky. This means you will be under-powering each sub by more than the recommend amount. So we really don't recommend this but it can be done.

I got 2 DTR 17000s . . . how in the world are you sopose to conect the mounting posts to the amp with the screws they give u ? toatly confusing me

@420basshead420 They have some unique mounting tabs with those particular amplifiers. Check out the user manual for mounting instruction. There is an entire page dedicated to mounting the amplifier. Soundstreams website has this manual available on the D-Tower Amplifier page. The mounting tabs sit on the screw location and the other end will screw onto the mounting surface.
