i haven't played it online for a few days. But i think the number of people buying it are not that much since the game only has 12 characters and the main ones are kids. Frankly speaking i bought this just for eye candy collection. Perhaps you should check the PSN store sales chart to decide. But from my point of view either you buy it later after discount (not worth for 19.99) or just forget it. The game does have online, trophies and super cancel though.
