Great Post. I love guitar styles from Blues to Metal. Melody is what I look for first in a guitarist. Rust Cooley is Amazing. I like his style a lot. Great Guitarist.

and enshrine the guitarists you mentioned; but most of them you can learn by playing their songs. I learned Gary Moore's techniques from his songs, from tabs, and perfectly. Same bends and vibratos.

Rusty Cooley is my teacher by the way, and man, I play many of Yngwie's songs, and comparing both; Rusty is on a totally different scale. I sometimes ask Rusty to repeat what he is doing many times because it is just mind bending before it even starts to become finger twisting.

All the guitarists on your list are still alive man, it's their choice to record DVDs or not, and they are not with Rock House.

Plus I wouldn't buy any DVDs from them because even though they are AMAZING musicians, they are not complicated technique wise.

Except for of course; Yngwie, Vai, Satriani, EVH. Those guys are Gods in music and technique.

Now Neil Zaza is an excellent guitarist but I don't think I would buy a lesson DVD for him.

I also want to know which heroes you mean, because there are a lot of them who don't know how to play guitar, let alone teach guitar or be on level with Rusty Cooley and Jeff Loomis.
