The US Navy conducts community relations activities while on liberty in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This is an extended version of a sequence featured in hour four, "Squared Away," of the PBS series CARRIER, which follows a core group of participants aboard the USS Nimitz, from the elite fighter pilots to the youngest sailors and everyone in between, as they navigate personal conflicts around their jobs, families, faith, patriotism, love and the war on terror. CARRIER premieres Sunday-Thursday, April 27-May 1, 2008, 9:00-11:00 p.m. ET on PBS (check local listings). For more information, visit http://www.pbs.org/carrier

I was on the 2009-2010 Nimitz cruise and went to Malaysia. It was great. I loved Asia as a whole. I love the Asian culture, the way of life, the people are friendly and the food is great. Just a time I will never forget. I want to return someday.

These services to ports that they visit are wonderful. I wish my son would participate more in this sort of activity. God Bless the crew that have big hearts and help out others.
